hey you used to have a blogspot blog ne? what's so good with wordpress, take the static pages (which i truly envy!) and the trackbacks? The reason I closed down my wordpress site and moved here is that you can't mess too much with the CSS and stuff... :) and does it have a drop down archive? :/
